I have the kevlar belt put on last summer and stell good.I am thinking of trying a slight wider belt
for fast take off. thats if I can find one.

Yeah I had the problem with the belt leaving powder everywhere. I cleaned it up best I could without taking apart the clutch. I suppose I should do that!
I dont have the holding tool for the clutch. I might try and make one.

..it's always good to keep your cvt bits nice and clean...

..they will perform better clean, in my experience...

..if you can't get the clutch dis-assembled, you can still clean it up fairly well...

..get a can or two of aerosol electrical contact cleaner...

..remove the clutch, spray all into the bell and pad area...

..if you have compressed air available, that would be a plus...

..but kinda try to keep the cleaner away from the bearings..the center of the assembly...

..don't want to wash out your grease...

..concentrate on the "bell" area...

..hell, even compressed air alone will remove quite a bit of crap..

You won't regret it, I have a little 2.5hp one, very, very handy.

What I should have put in my last post was that last Xmas, I received two vouchers for a local auto parts store from my in~laws, so I used them to buy a wall mounted retractable air hose, is absolutely magic, no more tangled hoses, is ratcheting to lock when extended and winds up, no hassle. :)

lol sid that retractable hose just made the list as well,i opened the cvt case and my gosh what a mess looked like a black sand storm had ripped thro there,had to brush it out before i replaced the belt on the ice compressed air would have been a god send,i was gonna go a lil longer belt wise but i opted for the standard piaggio belt and im glad i did no slippage and no slip from cold like the belt that was in there,but i have lost top end speed,but i can live with that cos it just sets off from a standing start quicker ;D
