Yamaha C-3
« on: September 02, 2020, 07:14:18 PM »
Lately I've been seeing a lot of Yamaha C-3's running around town in blue and in silver. Kind of reminds me of the Cushman in design,  very utilitarian in looks.
In parts 200S and Grand Vista and my motorcycles 2 CS BMW'S and one GS BMW.

Sold-32 Kymco scooters of various sizes this summer.

Curious ----since you didn't post a photo, I googled up a Yamaha C3.

These originally sold for @$45,000!

On the streets you say?
There was a guy in downtown Seattle who played one on the street corner....

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

It's not ugly. It just has a vintage look to it.

Always kinda liked the look myself, just would prefer a 125cc version (or larger).

When I first seen them I thought it was something restored from the sixties.  Then the guy at the grocery store said it was brand new.

It just surprised me how many were running around town.  Have yet to see another Kymco in town, I guess I make up for that. LOL

Don't know Dan's Cycle  doesn't even stock them and they sell Yamaha.  I kind of like the simple retro look.

Read the review on( just gotta scoot) and them seem to like it.

Only sold 'em in the U.S. up through about 2011/2012.
I suspect they're coming out of the woodwork again due to the pandemic & urban types eschewing public transportation.

I have seen a few around my city. I like them, but then again I like nearly all scooters. Supposedly lots of underseat storage, but a pain to work on.

Even during non-pandemic times, I would rather ride a scooter than take public transportation, rain or shine!

I seen they only sold them for 5 years,  the used ones I see have a hefty price tag.

Public transportation has it's point, but overall I'm with ya.

In the pandemic around here they have them at half capacity.  i've seen exactly one bus with a "full" sign..most have at best a few folks on 'em..and I live near one of the bigger lines in the metro area.

The local dealers have happily sold a boatload of scoots, and have been June busy all summer.
