as the building season winds down, I plan on getting back to my V-strom project, my local Suzuki dealer is on board as a sponsor, I'm working on the design of my auxiliary wire harness, auxiliary lighting, the time of year I plan on going, it will be 24 hr darkness, or nearly so. I've ridden in blizzard conditions, and temps down to -25°f but not at same time, and I haven't really been in whiteout, more than a 2-3 second blast thru a drifting area.
The first time I really experienced storm conditions in the evening, it was like serenity, that I have experienced also in a car, conditions bad enough that nearly everybody stays home, except plow trucks, leos and a few others, the snowflakes drifting into your headlights in mesmerizing, and you know what, its easier than you think, I don't posses any special godlike motorcycle skills, the right tires, keep your feet on the pegs (do not use em as outriggers) don't panic
