My dad opened up the top panel of his scooter and showed me what he thought was the problem and as soon as I saw it I was like "yep, 100% that's the problem." The cables coming out of the turn signal switch were installed in a way that pinched the wire between the plug and the bottom of the frame of the brake lever.

This is the turn signal switch

For now we just wrapped some electrical tape around and it and installed it properly to where the cables run just BARELY underneath the brake lever frame without a problem. We tested the scooter and it runs fine now, no lights turning off after using the  turn signal, no blown fuse, WOOHOO! Time for me and my dad ride tomorrow.

Thanks for the help!

That's great!
Thanks for ALL of your posts - stuff like this can be a real help to others down the road with strange electrical issues.
We've had a half doz LIKE200i's with strange problems over the years - it is super to finally get a "fixed" reported back on one of them!!

I'm not sure how much help we were - as you two seemed pretty good at sorting this out.
Again, thanks for the good photos and for the "fixed"!

Enjoy - it's a pretty darn good scooter - RED was my second choice if the LX wasn't at the dealer.
(always wanted to see a red one with the chrome crash bars set)

Thanks everyone. I figured it would be helpful to others to document the issue. i know i've looked up many questions to problems i've had using the internet and there are times when you just can't find the answer or like you said people don't report their findings/fixes and you're left wondering.

I think it helps to ask knowledgeable people about issues because it can help solidify what you plan on doing, it's kind of like you're pushing yourself to get it fixed, whether they had the right answers or not.

Also i updated the picture with my drawing on it so it makes more sense lol. :P

Was thinking that the cyclepedia tech might find that photo of the bare wire of interest as well.
