If I'd been a stranger to this section - I'd likely be texting from the E.R. right now.

This is a really steep, "no-fooling" 25mph snake of a section in a tunnel of trees.
Biggest thrill I had here was one pitch dark morning when I was suddenly overtaken by a speeding car in this section of blind, sharp & steep corners.
As I watched his tail lights recede I thanked the Lord that he was a skilled driver .....and in a Golf GTI~!!*
Anything else would have nailed me.

Stig
*I'm sure he looks forward to this section in that GTI - and that I was a surprise to him!

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Tough road, my butt's clenching just looking at it, especially if ya hit it at speed.

Glad you're not sending this from the ER.

Couple of years ago I made the mistake of turning down a super steep lane when exploring on my Honda Forza 300 in a State park.
Rounded the bend before I saw all the wet leaves.
The scooter fairies prevented my inclination to brake, fortunately 😊
It was so steep and slippery I was concerned that I'd slip and drop the scooter if I tried to walk it back up.
I parked the Forza and spent 30mins clearing tree debris from the gravel shoulder and rode it out.
I was in that park last year on my Liberty..
.same conditions, "Nope, it's pretty back that way - but not making that mistake again!"
Stig

might  forget my car keys, but not spooky scootering roads!

Fall is a pretty riding season but the poorly maintained county roads with the fallen leaves and branches are a nightmare in the dark. Not that the coming winter months with the ice will be much better.
Become the best you can with what you have.
