As a monolingual Brit (I don’t count my schoolboy French), I’m jealous!

I compliment you on both your spelling and use of punctuation.

Well that's very kind of you.  My wife says I'm a pedant over that sort of thing and she's always right!  Don't get me started on the use of the apostrophe for a possessive pronoun.  Actually, on the use of apostrophes (not apostrophe's), this made me laugh:

Today, Tues noon---just returned from Dalton GA Dealer.  Problem fixed---things bolted up, rear brake works fine.   Sure glad my scooter does not have linked brakes like my SilverWings did.  As rear brakes do little work, I think scooter rear brakes should be simple drum, one leading shoe and rear wheel easy to take off.

Current fancy brake systems on scooters--tells me designers, Sales managers, top people are not daily or long distance riders.

Next time my bike goes in shop, will check bolts soon as I get home.  Hope there is no next time in shop!!

Like I said, John. The time to check the shop's work is BEFORE you leave the shop! After you leave you own it.
