I found other models that have a TPS on a carburetor and what it does is adjust the timing coming out if the CDI depending on throttle position. So your problem is it runs slow after you removed the TPS and put it back, right? So, adjust the TPS position! But first look at the clamp to see if any marks are on it from its original position. If not, just loosen the clamp and rotate the black body of the TPS a little in one direction, gently retighten the clamp. Then go for test ride, if it is better, you picked the correct direction! Then adjust for best all around performance.
This is all guesswork! I cannot find a service manual for your bike and the ones that do have this system, the wiring diagram shows the TPS but there is no mention of it in the repair procedures!
