I don't think it was a gas station.  I don't know what it used to be.  Here's a bigger view.

Cool campground minibike, but dealer looks a little sketchy.

Old store front of some description?  Moody photo though Klav, like it.

When do we get to read the Shoot Out Review?

There are a fair number of Benelli dealers out there.

It's a lot more than a campground mini bike.

So here's a review.  A friend recently bought a 2019 TNT135 used with around 5,000 miles on it.  So I set up a ride into the beack roads of middle Tennessee and I would lead the ride on my Like 150i.

We met in Ardmore Alabama/Tennessee.  The town sits right on the state line.

We were joined by 4 other riders on bikes ranging from 250 to 750cc.

it was a gorgeous day for a ride.

.

We stopped for a break.

Up to this point the TNT 135 had stuck right on my tail.  The rider said he was running flat out to do this but then I was running flat out much of the time too.

After the break we swapped bikes.

My Like behind me on a four lane.  Yes these bikes are fast enough to run on a 65MPH four lane although we were only doing around 55-60 most of the time.

So how did I like the TNT135?

First off, it was much more comfortable than the Grom I rode in August.  I could see riding this thing 200 to 300 miles in a day.  It was that comfortable and I'm 6-2.  It also seems to have more power than the Grom did.  With a 135cc, four valve motor and 5 speed tranny it has the edge on the Grom and Z125 and other tiny bikes.

Lunch break:

We stopped for gas.  Keep in mind that we had been flogging these bikes.  I got around 75 MPG on the Like.  The TNT135 got 90!!

We rode some more.

.

.

At one point I saw 70MPH going downhill on my Like.  The TNT stayed right with me.

We stopped on a road in the middle of nowhere and did a drag race.  I smoked the TNT but I found out later that the rider had missed a shift and run into the rev limiter.  I think it would have been pretty close if that hadn't happened.

I ended up riding over 200 miles for the day.

So how do the bikes compare?

Performance wise they are about equal.  The TNT135 gets better MPGs.  I think it would be easy to get over 100MPG if running a bit slower.

The biggest advantage for the Like is the ability to carry things.  On the TNT you would have to wear a back pack.  Even if you added a rack on the back it would never be able to have the storage the like does.  So the TNT is a really fun little bike but not very practical.  The Like 150i is a really fun scooter and also practical for touring or just grocery shopping.

I hope you enjoyed my comparison.

For my next comparison.................

 ;)

Great pics as usual - looks like a fun ride.  Wish I was closer to you guys.....miss the good rides.

Interesting comparison.  The little bikes pique my interest....  Didn't think that Rich would have been interested in one-you turning him on to scooters has been a gateway?    As I recall, when we were all together in August he mentioned getting a new motorcycle and said it would be his last...so his garage must be full?

05 Super 9, 06 Best & Win, and a fleet of other scoots.....
