UXV 450I Ground Clearance Needed

Trying to gain ground clearance for my slow, tight wooded trails. The shock adjustments are currently stock. Are the adjustments made best using a slip-lock and are there detents or just continuous rotation once the lock nuts are loose?

The shock adjusters are a continous thread, so liosen both rings and start turning, lock both rings (jam nut type)  when you reach your final adjustment.  Also there are two shock position mounts for top of each shock.  By moving shocks out to stand up straighter you will gain a good extra inch or a little more.  The rear sway var must be removed to stand up the rear shocks, but I found NO issues when I removed mine.  In fact I like the handling better with the shocks moved out. After moving my shocks out I backed off the spring tension about an inch to give a little softer ride, but still gained about 1.25 in overall in ht.

I did spin the adjuster to stiffen the spring a bit and it improved the ride. Maybe even the ground clearance a bit. Will take things a bit at a time. When you removed the sway bar and moved the shocks out did it make it feel tippier on off camber hills? Thanks for the advice! Have Fun, Enjoy the Ride!

No I did not find my machine to be more tippy after sway bar removal, in fact it made me wonder why it was even on there!  In off xamber riding I felt the sway bar made it worse....
