 "My name's not Steve."

"I don't care. What are you going to do?"

The ride home - intermittent rain and a 20mph tail-wind!

My brother wasted his money on one of those French doors made by Maginot. The door is still there, as a neighborhood curiosity, but that thing caused the garage itself to quickly fall.

Hey Guys you do realise that all the WWII gags have an ever-diminishing audience size?  That said, they're very clever to those of us of a certain age...

Very much so, Young people are probably wondering what the heck were talking about, unless they take the time to look up the information.  There are young people who don't even know who John Wayne was.

It goes both ways I couldn't tell you who the young actor's and actresses of today are.

@Neil, talking about times gone by...
Read and reread this book over again. Makes me think about people and behaviour then and now.
If you ever have the chance go get this book. This George been a mechanic and Velocette owner pre- and after WW II, during war dispatch rider, just a simple hard working blue collar, but a gentleman...
Happy and safe scootering, Ruffus

Thanks Ruffus I'll take a look.  Always had a soft spot for Velocettes after a school friend had a 350 single as his first bike.  I was so jealous!

PS:  Just found a copy on eBay.  That'll be my Christmas present to me!
