Yep Stig everyone of my Xciting's and Grandvista has a cable from the ignition switch to the seat latch. Turn key to left to open. To get the gas cap to open you turn key to right past on to open. You put gas in just under the dashboard.
It sounds like they went from bad to worse with a electric seat latch on the 400
Ok, ok, I understand that a key is used in a mechanical manner to open the seat on some Kymcos ...but if they're using the key to trip an electrical release, then they better have a backup manual method.
This must be behind a keyed opening for security reasons.
My Liberty has a clever button to electrically release my seat latch. It also has a manual lever hidden in the leg shield which is accessed with the ignition key.
If there is an electrical seat release there must be a manual backup. No??
Never did like that twist key to pull a cable sest release. Cable stretch, corrode, come loose, break key off, etc. Plus it is a long ways from ignition to seat release catch.
