MSILSF is billing this event as the toughest street rally of 2011. It will be scored per MSILSF actual "cc" displacement classes. 1st Place trophies will be awarded to winners in each class, with giant trophies being awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Overall finishers.
There's a misperception the Salton Sea is a foul smelling body of water. While it's true during the summer months the combination of heat, salinity, algae and wind cause fish to die causing a stench, the weather should be quite pleasant in late March.
Several MSILSF Land-Speed Racers are entered, including 400cc Land-Speed Record Holder Linda Hurley.
Entries close March 15th.

". . . Call it a journey, a trip, a tour, a vigorous jaunt (anything but a race), and, no matter how loose the rules or how much fun the event generates, it must be taken seriously. . . ." World's Greatest Outlaw Road Race", MBI Publishing, St. Paul, MN (2003)
