Won't stay on

I was experiencing on the freeway when I got to 55mph it was losing power as if I was letting go of the throttle and now it won't stay on. Can anyone help me with this. Fuel filter and spark plug are new

I'm not familiar with this motor..is is fuel injected or does it have a carburetor? If carb...are you getting fuel? Could something have plugged? A shot of starting fluid into the carb can help rule out fuel issues (if it still doesn't start it's not a fueling issue). If it does start you have probably found your trouble source.

Are you getting spark? (pull the plug, ground it and crank over)

Is your battery good? (tested with a multimeter?)

how many miles on the scoot? Any other work done to it, lately?

Iahawk the GV is carbureted with a vacuum driven fuel pump. I would make sure your vacuum hose to the fuel pump is good. The diaphragm in the fuel pump could be bad as well I beleive a replacement fuel pump is about $45. Just some things to check.

I'm guessing fuel, disconnect the fuel inlet line going to the carb, crank the engine and you should have gas pumping out of the line. If you don't it could be the fuel pump.
And yes its a Vacuum Fuel pump, it runs off of crankcase vacuum also check your Vacuum line to see if it's connected.

So I found out that my fuel filter was dirty and that was causing it to not get fuel swapped it out and it runs fine [emoji119][emoji119][emoji119][emoji119]

Do you mean your new fuel filter was dirty again after you replaced it?  Glad you found the issue and gave us a update.

Yes so when I got the bike it was sitting since 2013 and had not been turned on since. So when I got it running I flushed the fuel tank three times using clean fuel and draining it into a bucket. I've been using seafoam to clean out the tank and carburetor, so I guess it was still breaking all the dirt from the tank. I went to O'Reilly's to buy two more filters so as it is cleaning the tank I can change out the filter.This is the filter I bought and works great it was $4.99

The Seafoam will also keep the carburetor clean and stabilize the fuel. Thanks for the clarification.

So now the problem that I'm having is that I can't keep a stable idle and its very frustrating I can't figure it out

A couple of things  I can think of is check your vacuum lines and the chance your carburetor has something in the small passages. I gave up on a carburetor on a People 150 that sat unused for years and just put a new carburetor on it.

pull your carb, and clean every passage way on it, blow Carb cleaner through every circuit.
sounds like your pilot jet may be partially blocked. also there are somes small holes under the throttle butterfly, these are transition holes, if you spray carb cleaner through the pilot circuit you should see it come out of those holes.
