I just bought a 2019 Kymco Spade 150 with full knowledge that the check engine light was on. It was a trade in to the dealer and I was able to talk them down from $2,700 + TTO to $2,300 + TTO because of the check engine light. It only has 1,200 miles on it. On the way home, I took it 55mph at one point to get it over a highway bridge, but I mostly tried to not be to hard on it because it's not been broken in. Just before my hour drive home was complete, the oil light came on. I had forgotten to check the oil at the dealership, when checking it out.
So I stopped and checked the oil and it was nearly dry! I then put oil in it all the way up to the H mark, but the oil light wouldn't turn off. Later, the gas light came on because it was nearly empty. So I filled it up with gas but the gas light wouldn't turn off! Now I have the check engine, oil and gas lights on! This causes me to start wondering if there is a wiring issue, or the need for some kind of light reset procedure. I may take it to a motorcycle mechanic today or later in the week, but wanted to get input from y'all.
