Can't ride ....so I watch people on their scooters in big cities
« on: February 19, 2021, 01:47:17 AM »

I like video footage of folks on scooters in major city centers....like Paris, Barcelona, etc. (I get bored quickly with gopros of pavement and traffic through the handlebars - can't see the scooter!)
I cannot imagine seeing so many people using such nice scooters in their daily lives.

To daydream of rising at 5:30AM in Paris (or NYC) and riding my scooter to get coffee at a sidewalk cafe' - watching my fellow scooter riders ....while taking a bazillion photos along the way!

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

So February is looking like a riding write-off then?

BTW, I rode into Paris via the Périphérique leading two friends once. It was one of the most stressful half hours of my life!  Once into the city centre though, it was all worth it.

No, no.....looking for temps to rise enough to clear the snow from streets and shadows in a few days.
Hope.
No reason to keep getting up at 5AM like this...if I'm not riding or thinking about riding.
Can I get you another coffee?

Yes, but when you've been in the 5am groove for as long as you have, you can't break the pattern!

If it helps, you can enjoy a vicarious ride with me. It's 9c here [emoji4]
Mind you, the downside is the scoot looks like I've taken it across a ploughed field...

makes me miss riding, too. Now can you find a similar video but during the summer? I'm tired of seeing people in winter coats!!
