I live in a seasonal area and it seems like every year after it's been sitting, I have issues with the carburetor and it takes quite a bit of time to repair it before I can ride again.  Does anyone know of a fuel injection kit that can be used on the Kymco 200S  ?  Thanks!

Ah, there's rather more to it, as you probably suspect, than just swapping a carburetor for an injected throttle body.
Experts here will have a fuller explanation.
Would it be possible to begin shopping for a lightly used EFI'd scooter?

On the other hand - there are those here who hate strongly distrust and dislike fuel injected Kymcos - figuring they are too hard to 'fix' if they go wrong, and that dealers are no help since 'dealers haven't a clue'.

Me, I love my EFI scooters - perfectly behaving in all weathers for 8 years now.

I agree with Stig, shopping for a used fuel injected scooter would make a whole lot more sense. Is it possible to convert to fuel injection? Sure, anything is possible with enough time and money! it would be extremely complicated as you'd need the throttle body with injector, fuel pump, different wiring, oxygen sensor in the exhaust and probably much more...the Like 200i is the same motor but with fuel injection...much easier to buy one of those!

Part of the charm of the S200 (to me anyway) is the simplicity.
2 valve, air-cooled.  Not much to break on that.
Not as quick as a liquid cooled 4 valve, but a bit easier to maintain in my experience.

Vs. trying to add injection to that, & getting (at best) a bit better MPG, but still facing the 2 valve limitation I'm with Stig and Iahawk.
Get an injected scoot. 
If ya wanna stay in the same category/size and such, the People S150, now available in the U.S., has a bit more power and injection.
Think that'd be the way I'd go vs. trying to redo the S200.
I will note that if a bike's just sitting you can get fun, particularly with eth gas on an injected scoot too.

Cool beans!  I appreciate all the feedback and it sounds like you're all right, about purchasing a EFI scooter as it sounds like the best solution.   I am not mechanical but my husband is a wrencher so I thought I'd investigate, as he always has to take the time to get my scooter up and running every year.   Thanks so much for all of your suggestions!  You ROCK!
