Searching for Bucksnort
« on: March 11, 2021, 02:40:23 PM »
Last Saturday I went for a ride with some friends.  We rode around some back roads in Northern Alabama in an area I wasn't that familiar with.  During the ride someone mentioned a place named "Bucksnort Alabama".

Bucksnort??

With a name like that I figured I would have to go find this place and take some pics.  So a couple of days later I headed out by myself to find this place.  I Googled it and found the location.

I headed out.  I rode down the road Bucksnort was on but before I knew it I was in the next town?

I missed it!  So I turned around and headed back.  I still didn't find it but turned down a road I wanted to explore.

I took some pics.

I stopped and took a break.  I ate a granola bar.

Despite being out in the boonies I had 4g's so I checked google maps.  Apparently I had ridden through Bucksnort twice.  There just wasn't any sign.  So I headed back.

It was a beautiful day and this road was a fun ride.

There were still leaves on the trees from last fall.  With the bright sunlight shining on them it almost looked like fall color.

I made it back to "downtown" Bucksnort and to a picture.

Mission accomplished I rode some more in search of some nice scenery.  Luckily Alabama has plenty of that.

I ended up riding a bit over 150 miles.

The Bucksnort in Tennessee actually has some signs.  I may have to take a ride there.  It's about 140 miles from my house.

Thanks.  The Majesty is pretty plush compared to my Like.  It's also much bigger and heavier.  For short trips and around town I prefer the Like.  I took it for a short ride this evening to catch the sunset.
