Downtown 300 ABS alarm
« on: March 25, 2021, 12:53:55 PM »
Hello everybody here
I'm having a 2014 DT 300 (with almost 70K km mileage) , recently i'm having a problem that still persist after some trials to resolve it, the ABS alarm light is on after i start my ride , this is accompanied with rpm speedometer not working and the km meter not working also. this situation just disappear once i turn my light bulbs on
i went to my workshop and they replace the km speedometer cable but nothing change and also tried to disconnect my battery and reconnect back but nothing changed
could anyone know what could be the possible reason for such case , it's worth to mention that i think that the abs brakes is mostly working properly

Sounds like bad connections/grounds in a 7 year old high km machine...

Can be bent pick up ring on wheel---mine on front got bent on tire change.  Fix=take ring off and bent strait or leave in place and make level, work for me.

Unplug EVERY connector on the bike, apply silicone dielectric grease to EVERY female socket and plug back in. You may want to spray eack plug with contact cleaner-lubricant first then apply the dielectric grease.

problem solved after a second visit to agent workshop, a defected voltage regulator was the cause of all of these errors as it was giving high voltage output (told it reached 17 v) leading to all these mess and errors
it's worth to mention here that this is the 3rd time to change the voltage regulator and thank you all for help and support
