GY6 Engine Codes

GY6 Engine Codes
The code can actually tell you a lot about a specific engine.
The actual code always starts with the first number, and continues for a total of 6 digits. Anything else is manufacturer-specific information.

Example of a common engine code: 157QMJ.

This is for the standard codes stamped on most GY6 and other Chinese engines.

#1         Corresponds to the number of cylinders. All GY6 engines are single cylinder, so this number will always be 1.
#2, #3   Bore size in metric millimeters, in the 157QMJ, the bore is 57mm. (57.4mm bore engines fall under "57" designation.)
#4         Relates to the style of engine. All GY6 engines are designated "Q".
#5, #6   Size of the engine. The second letter ascends consecutively for each 10cc. MB = 50cc, MC = 60cc, MD for a 70, MH = 110cc, MI = 125cc, MJ = 150cc

I actually did a bit of work on that today, wordslinger. Thought I was getting close to an answer or at the very least a lead to the answer...then my internet messed up. Been acting up all week, but was terrible today. I cussed and fussed so much the dog ran in the room and hid. lol

Are you sure it's a 5? Hey, try googling "Agility CK 50 QT S" with the S. I saw some stuff with an "S."

See, I thought so. I saw this site and it seems to show it with the "S" as a model # for a particular agility made in 2006 - 2007. I saw the CV also.

www.ebcbrakes.com.br/motos3.asp

KYMCO, Agility 50 (KG10SA), 05-08.
KYMCO, Agility 50 Basic, 07
KYMCO, Agility 50 R10 (4T) (CV 50 QT S), 06-07
KYMCO, Agility R12 (4T) (CK 50 QT S), 06-07

And, bat, they also have -6 and other numbers on the chinese scoots. Haven't figured it out yet, thouh. :-\

Yeah, another site had '09 listed and said "no info available yet."

Well, the KG10SA is a model #, right?

Maybe it's a code # for the transmission or something?? I'll search it again on a day when it doesn't take 5 minutes to load each page and I don't have to reset the internet every 10 minutes!

Okay, sorry, wordslinger, my internet went out...again. Anyway, I found another site and it finally let me load it. This one shows similar #'s and mentions "Chassis" #'s. I tried to find your People on the list for comparison, but I didn't see the right year.

See what you think. I don't know if we're even close to the answer yet. There's pages of Google hits, but everything is a PDF file and my internet isn't cooperating today.
