I tried to adjust the clock to daylight savings. And the trip meter mileage came up and I cant get rid of it. The manual is hopeless for any adjustments. Anyone got a clue?

I know it’s damn complicated on my X-Town 300! I googled it and there were step by step instructions there, you could try that for your model?

Text:  The owners manual is wrong. Here's how you do it: Hold down both buttons until display flashes. Then the left button changes from hour, minutes, month, day. The right button advances the numbers. That's it! I had to go out to my Super 8 and try until I found the secret.

That clock!! What a pain. To change the trip meter press and hold left button till it changes. Repeat till you have the meter you want. In any mode except odometer, hold both buttons to re-set to zero.

To adjust the clock, you must first be in odometer mode, then when you hold both buttons the clock will flash for adjustment. Neil's instructions after that are correct. When the time is adjusted press both buttons again to exit adjust mode.

Idersch, the trip meter was in 804.5K. I held down the left button and it switched to 804. I held it down again and it switched back to tripmeter with 804.5K, and kept doing that and no other modes no matter how many times I held it down.

That's odd. There should be 3 modes, and odometer is one of them. I'll check that sequence again before my ride tomorrow and make sure I have that right.

Got to playing around with different modes of pushing the Mode/set buttons. And I believe that pushing and holding both buttons down made it go back from Kilometer's to the U. S. odometer mileage. I was then able to set the set the clock when it popped up along with the odometer mileage. But please don't quote me.

Anyhow, I thank Y'all for the input.
