First oil change

Instead of driving my new AK550 to the Dealer for its first oil change I did it myself. I had 290 miles on it.  The oil filter that was on it was HiFLO Filtro HF164.  Ordered that from my nearest Wal-mart.  Called my dealer to ask them what oil they used. Didn’t want to use a different oil than they use, as I know they will be doing at least some of my oil changes, among servicing. They use Amsoil 10w-40. Had to order that on-line. Going slow, taking my time and being careful not to break any tabs etc....  Got it accomplished.  Did find some metal shavings on one of the filter screens of a drain. Didn’t think it was excessive.  All seems ok.  Next time I do this, hopefully I will be much quicker.😃😃

that's good news to have one more who's doing his scoot on his own. It's the best way to get accustomed to your ride. Then you know what you did on your vehicle and you need not to be in doubt whether an (maybe) absent minded mechanic worked with care. It's in most cases no so much about saving a certain sum of money, but YOU know exactely what you did.
