Farmland at Sunset

OK guys, my apologies again it's not a Kymco, but here's a pic of my new Honda ADV 150 at sunset on Saturday here in the farm country of Eastern Pennsylvania. It was unseasonably warm on Saturday -- low 80s on the first of May -- and I couldn't resist an evening ride to close out a lovely, summerlike day. Really enjoying this new machine. I just love the way it handles; so nimble and responsive.

For those who are wondering, I've got about 400 miles on it so far and have hit the rev limiter only once, at which point the speedo read 67 mph on a slight downhill grade. From all I have read about this bike, the speedo is a bit "optimistic" so perhaps I was going 64 mph. At any rate, that's not too shabby for a 150.

And, for what it's worth, everyone says that without Honda there never would have been a Kymco. So, somehow, I guess Kymco gets credit for all this.

Agreed. Super picture!  Even this side of the Pond, weather recently was unseasonable at 16c, took my first ride of 2021 WITHOUT having to use the heated grips!  But then we had torrential rain yesterday as it was a British Bank Holiday.  That's something of a tradition here...

Glad to see someone else finds those moments worth saving, as well!
Lot of good stuff happens in the sky when the sun is low.
My daughter now drags us out of the house to witness sunsets.... (I'm family's only witness to sunrises. Well mustn't forget the pup.)

Thanks. As you would expect with a 150cc engine, there's a pretty major difference between what you can do on flat ground or even a slight downhill grade vs. steep hills. The bike tops out around 40 mph pulling up the steep mountains around here.

Saturday was the exception to the rule. For the most part, we've had a lot of cloudy/rainy days, which has been disappointing as I've let the scooter sit in the garage more days than not. Today is a bit wet, and tomorrow is supposed to be wetter. Thursday looks like a decent riding day though.

I guess this is normal for springtime, but now that I have a scooter, I find myself wishing I lived in Arizona where it was clear, sunny and warm just about every day of the year...

Most of the sunrises I see are during hunting season. Otherwise, I'm more of a sunset man myself...
