Left brake lever
« on: May 11, 2021, 07:16:40 PM »
Long story short, I've searched really hard for this one part. Sold out, wrong one, wrong color, and my favorite, the site that literally has every year of this scooter except for 2019; it skips it and has 2020, why? Oh and that Kymco parts site has diagrams of the entire bike, but there's no left brake lever to be seen, and you can't just search for it like that, you have to go through the silly schematics.

I found one on eBay but they want like $35 shipping.

Finally called the dealership and had to sit on the phone with him for 20 minutes while he searched for it and couldn't find it. Then he finally did and said he ordered it but he says he's honest to God not sure if it'll ever show up.

So my 2 year old scooter that I'm not even finished paying off apparently already has parts problems?

found it in about 30 seconds in Kymcopartsonline..in the parts schematics look under the 'Super 8 150 Handle Steering Cover' section. This is the part any Kymco dealer can order for you.  I checked my S200, same part number, which tells me it's a generic Kymco scooter part probably used on a number of different models.

Like Iahawk said it's used on several different models.  I have found my local dealer competitive on price.

I had a Issue with a Suzuki dealer ordering a part (parts guy couldn't find it). I looked the part up myself and ordered it from them.   If you think $35 is expensive try $135. for a Suzuki Burgman  glove box latch

In parts 200S and Grand Vista and my motorcycles 2 CS BMW'S and one GS BMW.

Sold-32 Kymco scooters of various sizes this summer.

So Iahawk you were right the left one is there but I don't find the right one.  The one I'm looking for.

but...but....the thread title was LEFT brake lever?? Oh, then I noticed it's not the thread starter!

same process...go to a parts schematic (kymcopartsonline.com in this case) find scoot, and then under 'super 8 150 brake master cylinder'

looks like same generic Kymco part used across multiple scoots.

Thanks Iahawk. I guess since it operates the hydraulic brake they bundle it with that part instead of the handlebar stuff. Kymco has a different way of doing things.

doc - yeah, once you've looked at these schematics 100 times you start to figure out where everything is hidden!
