Hi all,
I am in Ottawa, ON, Canada
I have a 2013 Like 200i.
Up until now, she's been great.

Now, when I turn the key there is no CELP
When I turn the key I can hear the fuel pump.
I have never overfilled the tank.
It will only start at WOT (Wide Open Throttle) and once started, she lopes rather than runs.

Battery is 10/10.
Fuel seems perfect.
I have flipped the kill switch back and forth in case it was a partial connection.

I will be removing the sparkplug later today and will update.

Any ideas, thoughts or suggestions will be gladly reveived.

@dwarf8,
pls take seat and trunk off.
Check all electric connectors
Check all fuel connectors (hoseties)
Flood your switches, On/Off, with WD 40 or similar
Check your AirFilter for being clogged
If there is no improvement, take your injector out, don't disconnect, check whether its fine "mist" spraying or in a ray. If ray, then clean the injector.
Its described in this forum.
Happy and safe scootering, Ruffus

How many miles/years since valves were checked and/or spark plug checked?
Did it sit for an extended period of time recently?
Was spark plug loose when you installed the new one today?

Thanks all for the quick replies.

In random order:
Seat & trunk off
All connectors I could find unplugged and reconnected after checking they were clean
All fuel lines checked - nice and snug, no leaks
I won't put WD40 in my switches but they are clean and secure - I will check each one for continuity
Air filter is clean and not clogged as is the air passage up to the intake
I will check the injector tomorrow.

Fuses checked.

Valves checked this spring (6 weeks ago)
Also new spark plug - put the old one back in to test, same results
It sits all winter after being winterized and then fluids and sparkplug changed in the spring.
Spark plug was snugged up tight (but not too tight) came out clean with a little soot.

I will continue to work at it tomorrow and will provide feedback.
Thanks again!

We've had a couple of reported cases of rotted fuel line --- this is the short rubber line inside the tank and attached directly to the fuel pump which resides in the tank. Rotting line seems to be associated with prolonged sitting with fuel in the tank - and was associated with fuel line used in some 2012/2013 LIKE200i models.

This rotted line either blocks fuel flow - or sends junk into the injector.
If injector cleaning clears the problem - but problem comes back - suspect that rotted in-tank line.

It is very rare - but We've had a couple of starting/running issues which were resolved only by replacing the ECU. Sometimes this part can be found, and purchased used,  separate from the throttle body - but is most often found still connected to the used throttle body. As for new - the ECU is sold only with new throttle body (@$225) Again, this is rare.

Good spark? - no water in fuel? - start when starter fluid sprayed in? - good spray from injector?

One option is to purchase www.cyclepedia.com maintenance manual subscription - and then begin a service ticket with their techs (free). Cyclepedia made the manuals for KYMCOUSA.

She's alive!!

Now that the most important piece of info is out of the way it's time for the back story.
Starting point - it felt electrical.
I checked everything I could think of:
Battery
Fuses
Connectors
Switches
No change.
Checked the spark plug - good
Fuel lines looked perfect.
Checked the spray pattern of the injector - perfect (Thank you Seafoam!)

Checked the air flow from start to finish - all clean and clear.

But it felt electrical.
Went back along the path and...
Kill switch is buggered.
Remove it completely, clean it up, add a little dielectric grease and Robert is your father's brother.
Everything is 100% normal again.

Thank you all for ideas and suggestions.

I had the same problem with a kill switch on a scooter that had set for a long time.  Mechanic at Dan's Cycle figured it out.
In parts 200S and Grand Vista and my motorcycles 2 CS BMW'S and one GS BMW.

Sold-32 Kymco scooters of various sizes this summer.
