We've had a couple of reported cases of rotted fuel line --- this is the short rubber line
inside the tank and attached directly to the fuel pump which resides in the tank. Rotting line seems to be associated with prolonged sitting with fuel in the tank - and was associated with fuel line used in
some 2012/2013 LIKE200i models.
This rotted line either blocks fuel flow - or sends junk into the injector.
If injector cleaning clears the problem - but problem comes back - suspect that rotted in-tank line.
It is very rare - but We've had a couple of starting/running issues which were resolved only by replacing the ECU. Sometimes this part can be found, and purchased used,
separate from the throttle body - but is most often found still connected to the used throttle body. As for new - the ECU is sold only
with new throttle body (@$225) Again, this is rare.
Good spark? - no water in fuel? - start when starter fluid sprayed in? - good spray from injector?
One option is to purchase
www.cyclepedia.com maintenance manual subscription - and then begin a service ticket with their techs (free). Cyclepedia made the manuals for KYMCOUSA.
