Hi All,
Just ordered a windshield from FortNine.
I just went with their recommended one with the mounting bracket.

When it arrived, the box seemed large for a little chest protector wind deflector.
(BTW - 2 day delivery - bloody amazing!)

I opened her up and took out the mounting kit, read the installation instructions (I know, right?), modified their "how to" so the brackets would fit my scooter and finger tightened everything up to allow for small adjustments.
Went back to the box and....
Holy huge!
It's like a cop screen.

I figure if that's the recommended one, who am I to judge before trying it out.
Tightened her all up and did a quick walk around.
That is one big-ass windshield!

The proof is in the puttering so I hit the road.
It's wonderful.
Full coverage so only my back will get wet.
Slight drop in top end (92 KPH just before WOT down to 86 KPH just before WOT) but vast improvement in comfort at that speed.
Music is now audible.
The glare off the top rim of the headlight is now blocked.
Bugs be gone!

I am betting it will act as a sail in specific wind conditions but that's workable.

All things considered, an excellent choice by the vendor.

Glad you like your screen.
Never had the inclination to put one on my Like200i LX. The fewer things between my eyes and the road....esp. in the wet and at night (all my rides start in the dark)
Have removed every tall stock screen for a shorty. I've preferred the wind of riding.... on the LIKE, FORZA, BURGMAN  and the Liberty.
Bugs?....at my speeds they are rarely caught unawares....tbey just move.
But I know lots like screens.

Nice to meet a local!
I am also in the OVSC but have yet to attend a ride.
I'm more of a "ride all the time, if you need a hand fixing things give me a buzz" type rather than an ice cream runner.
I do go to a meetup in Huntsville once a year for a tuning clinic for Yamaha XJ bikes.

FortNine has variators but not sure if they will fit your ride.

I got used to shortys going across country many years ago and have loved them ever since.
This is only the second tall windshield I have ever owned.
I had one on an old Suzuki GS850G for a few years and liked it but switched to the lower chest protectors a long time ago once I gave up multi-day trips.
I have put the front tire in all 3 oceans when I was young and foolish. 

No need for any deflector around town but anything over an hour in one direction at higher speeds and I find I need one.
I am up and down constantly between home and the farm and that's about an hour each way, all at 80+, so I caved after 2 years.

I am restoring a couple of older scooters at the moment and I will have screens on both of those, too.

I'll have to admit I never cared for the aesthetics of a windscreen until I purchased a used Kymco that had a taller then stock windscreen.  It made a highway riding so much more pleasurable on long trips.  I also went to a open face helmet on the scooters with windscreens. On the motorcycle's without windscreens  I still use my  full face Shoei  helmet .
