First Geared Bike in Years
« on: June 08, 2021, 11:54:32 AM »
Bought myself a Honda CB250 Nighthawk - some assembly required, a half-finished restoration project but with all the hard work already done.

Haven't ridden a geared bike in 5 or 6 years and I'm really looking forward to it.

My partner needs our car for her work, so I've got a motivating factor to actually get on with assembling it :)
Rides;

Suzuki GW250 Inazuma (2016)
Honda C70C (red, 1983)

You know what they say,  (Just like riding a bike) you don't forget.

Kind of funny: I usually drive a manual transmission truck but today took the one with automatic transmission.  At every stop light for a while I would want to push in the non- existent clutch.
In parts 200S and Grand Vista and my motorcycles 2 CS BMW'S and one GS BMW.

Sold-32 Kymco scooters of various sizes this summer.

(1970's) I borrowed a nurse's big Chevy one evening to take the patients from a psych hosp. in Mass out for ice cream.
I drove a VW bug.
At the first stop light I put all the passengers under the dash board or rear floor....when I put that 'clutch' to the floor.
Once we finished screaming and laughing I got out and let the manic/depressive lawyer behind the wheel.
It only got more entertaining because he was just entering his manic phase! I've never laughed so hard at a Friendly's.

Anyway - I kinda envy Viper, don't you?

You can never have to many bikes/scooters,  caveat being it doesn't cause other issues.

@Stig, I do have the impressions that, nowadays most of the cars on our roads here are steered by "patients" of a psych warden, without having med personal with them.
Happy and safe scootering, Ruffus
