Sitting a few feet from my scooter here, with my coffee, when a young Harley Davidson rider swung into place next to my scooter.
I wasn't sure it was an HD. It was actually pretty quiet as these bikes go.
Very embarrassingly - he dropped his helmet after he removed it. It hit like a ....well, like a helmet landing on its crown.
Sort of a "crack!".
He came back an hour later as I was gearing up to leave. I pointed at Joe's 1951 BMW across the street. We chatted about it, and Joe's strange collection of vehicles. He relaxed, looked at his helmet top, brushed it off, told me to "Be safe out there and have a good day."
Never once made a crack about my red plastic scooter, all my hi viz gear, etc.
He just wished a fellow rider to be safe out there on the road.
I had 2 other motorcycle riders give me the 2 finger rider wave as they passed. That happens with the Liberty, which looks much more like a motorcycle from the front than does the Kymco LIKE200i.
