Can't afford to be a *good samaritan* in this day and age!!

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body. But rather to skid in broadside , thoroughly used up , totally worn out and loudly proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!!"

I pay 550 for two motorcycles and a scooter.  I have full coverage on the scooter, but only liability on the two motorcycles.

Liability insurance is a matter of course for Europeans. It's just mandatory for every motor vehicle and in some countries even for bicycles.
We don't need deterrently multi-billion-dollar-lawsuits after an accident, the police just makes a record and calls the wrecking truck for your vehicle.

I pay about $245 for full coverage, including full replacement should anything happen to my scooter. It's one of the things I like about scooters over bigger motorcycles. My Yager cost about $4,100. My insurance company considers that cheap, so there would be no problem in replacing it, while a more expensive bike would result in a fight for replacement worth value.

Go Scooters!

I payed an 18% of I.V.A. =V.A.T. when I bought the scooter

I have  to pay yearly 9 Euros of Tax and 110 Euros of insurance, with  50 million Euros of liability, with no limit  of legal expenses , attorneys, etc, with no limit on medical expenses during 1  year from the accident  date.

Vehicle moving  if damaged or  it doesn't  work properly

So, an indemnification of 15000 euros if you die or result fully invalid at an accident.

This is in this way in Spain. (if I don't know something wrong)
If I have to stop, I will die.

A Fly 150 in S.F. Bay Area, (CA) just paid $95 for my '07 Fly Registration. $59 for reg then a $22 License fee?? $14 County District Fee.
Minimum insurance coverage (liability) is about $200.
Wow I thought California had some real pirate taxes but I guess were running 2nd to Croatia. At least for now.
Funny thing is My '84 Carrera Insurance is about the same price. /boggle

One of the coolest cars you could think of driving.. and I loathe driving it.
Its just too liberating and easy and quick to hop on the scooter!
