Now that the wheel is off where could you take it to have the berrings checked ?

This is a good idea, juice. I don't have a clue where to go. Bearings are like a foreign word to me. And...I gave up my last hidden roll of dimes at the pawn shop for the tools. :(

I'm trying so hard to get everything apart so I can know what I need to buy before payday gets here. If I don't order what I need ON payday, the money will be gone. It's rotten, but it's just the way it is right now.

How you mean?

That would have to be a loooong screwdriver. Or you mean in the same end I'm trying to get it out from?

Careful? I ALWAYS start out intending to be careful...

Yeah, it showed a really cool "special tool" that gets the job done fast and easy...and that costs more money.  ;D

I have heard of people using sockets for a socket wrench to punch out old bearings . Just find one with the right diameter and a hammer ....

Yep, Been there done that.  Works great.  But heck I've got a lot of sockets to select from.

..the delima is, that you must either PULL a bearing from at least ONE SIDE...before you can socket out the other...

..the bearings remove outward from the front wheel..

..a "bearing puller" will work BEST!!

You can probably "rent" a bearing puller from Autozone.
