Need to know is anybody tried to install new carb, jet, filter or exhaust on gy6?

ive try with k&n open filter and 1.2 jet, but at 80km/h it just stopped accel..

bad, bad...

seems to me that exhaust cant take that much gases out of cilinder...too small output....

help

I think that tweaking the carb you will gain little (if anything) and could lose a lot.

The factory setting is overall - the best.

Let me share a story with you. When I had 750 cc Kawasaki, I bought from USA a rejetting set,, K&N filter and sports exhaust can.
I had the thing rejetted.
It jumped from 76 to 93 hp.

You could somewhat notice the power difference.

However, the highway consumption jumped from 5.5-6 l/100km on a highway (180-220 km/h) to 11+ l/100 km.

The first time I drove on a highway after rejetting, I almost ran out of fuel because I was caught by surprise.

Also, the engine did not run as smooth after rejetting compared to factory setting.

Forget it.

IF you provide more information I can get you running better.
1) GY6 what size 125 150CC?
2) Mileage,, (convert to us measurements)
3) What modifications you have done?
4) I dont know what 1.2 jet is.. Jets are measured in numeric values such as 120, 125, 130 etc.

I would completely forget that. The only thing you`d get is a hole in the pocket.
I would get open can (200-250 EUR) only if my current can gets burnt.

Tuning 2stroke from 50 to 72 (80cc) is a whole different story and it calls for carb rejetting, open flow air filter and a good can.
But I think that 125cc 4strokes are so balanced, you can gain almost nothing if you do not touch the engine.
I would rather save the money and buy bigger scoot if I wanted more power! It would cost less in the long run and certainly yield better results!  ;D

I think that Malossi Multivar is the best thing for 4strokes and that`s it - but you already have it... :)

More noise.
Probably loose power compare to stock if don't re-jet, but you'll probably save
some weight. Waste of money again, on most (maybe even all) scooters.

But, many times we have agreed on forum of this kind that there are people who like to fiddle with things and scoots just for the sake of it.
Otherwise, it is much more efficient to sell 125 cc scoot, add some money and buy 150 cc scoot (or more)

The time was already wasted while researching the Agility 125 & 150 (where it's available) and various kits/options
that supposedly work. Money? I'd do it when/if the original engine needs replacement, so that's not an issues
either.

However increased fuel consumption WOULD be an issue so I might as well hang on to it as long as I can and
replace it with a newer, fuel injected scoot in a year or so. The new Grand Dink will have a 12hp fuel injected
125cc engine in it, looks great for a smaller scoot like the Agility City.

Of all the Kymco scoots I've tried recently (xciting 250, people-s 200, new dink 50, super 8 50, 125, sat on like 200i etc)
the New Dink 200i seems to be what I need and is the best of the bunch to ride on, but damn it's fugly.

The Like 200i (same funny seat/bars position as agility) and Agility City 200i (undeseat storage issue) would be
my choices just looking at them.. and that's not how to buy bikes (if I knew that before, I wouldn't own a
Kawasaki now).

I took my 4stroke agility 50 up to 72cc and I'm getting about 60mpg where it was originally 100mpg.

The scooter is much faster but nowhere near as fast as a stock 125cc which is probably my next purchase...

unless I can afforde the 150!
Im usually on a bicycle, so for me, this thing is hauling ass!

I am a proud American and I wasn't taught metric conversion to US standards, due to here in the US we mostly use us measurements.
