i like the one that pops up and looks like a windows security alert saying you have malware on your computer and you need to click here to remove the threat.

I have seen them...some of them look very real. Didn't know they were targeting the Macs with them now, though.

I think it just pops up on whatever - clearly didn't know I was on a Mac because I obviously couldn't have a Windows security issue when I don't have Windows.

Yeah, I have to popup blocker too and never get them - but this one made it around it.
These computer hacker types are good at what they do. Since I never get popups it made it seem like a real message from my computer - except my computer doesn't speak Windows!

Now mine is working fast again after 2 weeks of frustration. No updates came in that I know of. I did see an ATT truck driving down my street the other day though.
