Hey Stig, It's Red!

Been lots of talk on here about lack of inventory across the market, from all brands. Looks like Honda is FINALLY getting the 2022 PCXs and ADVs to market, as they are trickling into dealerships across the nation. As for the ADV, the 2022 model is available only in red, and I saw the first actual photos (not stock pictures from Honda website) on Cycle Trader this week.

Stig, I think you'll be pleased with the look of the new color, since you aren't a big fan of my black 2021 model (or at least it isn't your preferred color). I believe you said they ought to make this bike in "Honda red," so here you go...

Honda has gone darker with its red since my Forza.
Also, need to have a serious chat with the shop's photographer!

Yes, Stig, I know what you mean. Honda seems to be doing more of a cherry red these days on some of the bikes, rather than the classic "Honda Red" found on their dirt bikes.

My last two Honda XR'S were white, XR 600 and XR 250. I remember the red ones, when left in the sun the plastic would turn pink.

My son has a CRF250X with the classic Honda red/white color scheme. See attached. I think this is the "red" Stig recalls fondly.

They took too long getting the warranty part for the one on the left - so I bought the one on the right.

Here's a better photo of the new red ADV 150 for 2022. Grabbed this off a Facebook group I'm in for the scooter from a woman who just picked up her new unit from the dealer. I still prefer my black 2021, but you can't say this isn't a good-looking machine!

I like it in that color. I do find it interesting that manufacturers are going to less and less painted bodywork on their scoots and motorcycles these days. More black, unpainted plastic in what I'm sure is a cost saving move.
