Another Question About Sliders.
« on: October 24, 2010, 10:35:32 PM »
I have heard that Sliders are better then Rollers.....

Also, I have read 11g's are the way to go for the 125.

I have also read on here Dr. Pulleys are the best for the $ and your scoot.

Now the question is, I go to Dr Pulley sliders and all I can find is the 16x13 sliders. But I can only find them for the Agility 50. So this leads me to my question....Can someone link me to the Dr Pulley sliders (11g) that fit my scoot. I am wanting to order so I can get them installed. I know this is a stupid question and there have been many posts on this. But I could not really find what I was looking for by the other guys information.

Thanks! and I really appreciate it!!!

I don't know if this is a good price or if they are even the ones you are looking for, but they are Dr. Pulley Sliders and they have the 11g's:

It doesn't have the Agility 125 in the listing... Do you know the size I need?

No, I'm sorry, I don't. But you could type "Dr Pulley Sliders for Agility 125" into Google and it should get some hits with good descriptions. Good luck!

I have and they only have them for the A50... Would these still work?

Well, if you get the wrong size, they won't work. I don't know if they are the same size, sorry. Someone here may know what you need and chime in with the answer. In the meantime you could possibly check the Dr Pulley website for an email address and send them an email. They should know for sure which ones you need for the Agility 125.

At this point you might just want to open up that variator and measure one of the current rollers.  If it is 16 x 13 then you have your answer.

You should look up the info on forum for this kind of info as there is plenty of it around. In fact, I have just opened a similar thread yesterday.

18x14 14g is OEM, sometimes 18x14 13g.

You need 18x14 13g Dr. Pulleys for your A125.

25 US$ + 8 US$ shipping on ebay.

I did...I just needed a direct link...cause I was confused on rather or not they were universal. I just went with the 18x14 11g Dr Pulley Sliders. I have read 11g are the best.

Selecting roller weights is really a matter of taste.

You should figure on trying some different weights and see what works for you.

I would play around with some cheaper rollers of various weights and once you've found what works best for you then order the good rollers (or sliders) in that weight.

http://www.unionmaterial.com/rollerweight6.htm  This is Dr. Pulley's site.  Look through all the tabs and you'll eventually find a long list of every scooter and the slider applications.  They also make rollers so make sure you're looking at the right list.

Also on this site are their complete variators, clutches, variator slide pieces(not to be confused with the actual sliders).

They are in Taiwan but you can order direct.  Shipping may kill you though.  They try to be very helpful if you email them.

Edit to add:  The only 18 X 14 I see there are listed for a Kymco "Movie" 125 and I don't see any other weight other than 12.8 gram.  They may not have updated the list in some time.

Im running 11g Dr Pulley sliders and can do nothing but highly reccomend them. I have just fitted a set to my bw100 in 5g and reckon they are the best bang for buck in the way of simple upgrade mods. With the new Yamaha scooter I just got, first day of ownership I changed the springs to 2000rpm and fitted the new sliders. I reckon they are a given not an option, in that the first thing that should be done on any scooter in this mod.
