What is your scoot's carry capacity?
« on: July 25, 2021, 08:02:17 PM »
The tag on my Liberty 150i
155cc's, 16"/14" wheels, 52.75" wheelbase, 255lbs weight.

Carry capacity is 428'bs.....on a mono-shock and rear drum brake. (!)
I do not think I will ever test that figure!
I think my LIKE200i's is @320lbs.
Stig
*unboxed and bought the scooter in 07/17.

I second Neil's statement..haven't a clue! I've actually never even looked it up for my bikes. Since I'm  around 155 lbs and I only ride solo it's never been on my mind, before..

768 pounds max gross. I think some of Kymco's numbers span 398 to 405 lbs. So I am guessing 400 bone dry/empty. Gas gonna be about 20 pounds so 430 lbs not unreasonable. That leaves 338 useful of which 240 is ME! Therefore, 98 pounds to play with gear, tools, girls, water, etc.

366 pounds for my 2021 Honda ADV 150. So, between my wife and I, that leave roughly 35 pounds for additional cargo.

Just about right, I'd say, though only about 5 percent of my riding is two up. So, plenty of weight to spare almost all the time.

Dry weight 186 kgs so wet c200 kgs?  Makes load capacity c160 kgs? Should just about cover me and the wife as long as there’s no luggage and we’re naked! 😂🤣

Seriously, when I do ride it two up, then I notice the reduced clearance in bends and the reduced braking effectiveness to go with the expected loss in acceleration, but you ride accordingly. Looking at videos of overloaded scoots in Asia, I don’t lose any sleep over it.
