I've never met a cow I didn't like (& dealing with a low sun)

Who could dislike one of these cows?

I don't honk at them, or whistle or do anything to bother them.
Best to let them lead the conversation....

Going to be riding home into a really low sun

So pulled over to apply painter's tape to my visor. (yes my helmet has a drop-down sun-glass thing - but when repeatedly riding in to and out of roadside tree shadows - a helmet sunglass only darkens the shadows, too - I have found deer in those shadows! After 8 years of riding into the sun - the painter's tape works best for me)

I would love to have cows as neighbors again, growing up in Vermont, we lived on a small lot next to a dairy farm (an old converted schoolhouse, it was a BIG school district, as it was originally built as a 2 room school) the night pasture was next to our house, we grew a fair amount of sweet corn, every evening after the afternoon milking, the cows would come straight to the fence line along our back yard waiting for our corn husks from that day, and the leftover cobs. I know I got a big kick when I was real little feeding them by hand, thru the fence, we had favorites, only a small herd 30±

Had a small herd of bullocks (appropriate really, as my surname is Bullock*) until recently in the field behind our house.  Most now gone off to market sadly, but there'll be more in the Autumn (Fall).

* True story.  Called to Police about 40 years ago to report a cow loose on the estate where I lived at the time.  Copper on the phone, having taken my name, quick as a flash responded "Don't worry sir, we'll get it mooooved!"

 :) !
Driving to work 20 yrs ago I found 3 horses trotting up the county highway ahead of me. A couple of Sheriff cars passed me with two guys who jumped out and managed to get a rope on each.
It was a little scary - just waiting for a car to hit one of them.
Getting a little concerned - it has been months since I've seen Bryan.....
