Kymco USA status
« on: August 07, 2021, 07:30:59 PM »
BMW big shot quit Kymco USA. Source says everything at the single importer is still, meaning quiet or still in chaos.

Anyone live either in or near Spartanburg, SC willing to visit the US hub for our brand. Maybe sniff out if anyone there has any idea what is for the present or future?

He was Chief Revenue Officer. Not sure what that is, sounds like a disposable, Temp position.
If you think you are going to go to Kymco USA and poke around.....you won't make it past the lobby.

Good point. However, nothing seems to be going on of any value there. Personally, it seems they are intent to run it into the ground.

If my Like200i blows up in the next year or two.....even if Kymco folds their tent I figure I could find another leftover Like200i,  or a lightly used one and scooter on.
They certainly don't burn through parts😊 or need much in the way of dealer support!
Was bragging on its reliability to a curious passerby yesterday morning.

KUSA can sink into the sand and disappear for all I care. Just like you said, Tom: find a donor body somewhere for the absolute Kymco-there -is-no-other. Proper care and feeding, these should last a lifetime. For guys like John Grinsel and me that could be a short while! Har, har!

Who that new guy, lives in Taiwan....I need a belt....

Agreed - and I do not think anyone in that building gets up in the morning to go out and ruin my day. They build a quality LIKE200i and I can keep it running if they choose to try their hand at waffle-shop franchising.
