CVT belt
« on: August 21, 2021, 07:05:15 PM »
I have sent requests to every dealer listed here for a belt. Any other recommendations?

Is this belt goldbraided, for this price?

In parts 200S and Grand Vista and my motorcycles 2 CS BMW'S and one GS BMW.

OW, ow, yikes! Does not even mention brand!

The add shows that the belt is a Mitsuboshi (Japan) made belt, the price is pretty high though.

Quite possibly but unidentifiable with the Kymco/Honda part number system. Every belt is 23100- something regardless of model. Then for the Downtown and big People it is -LEA7-E00. The genuine part has that on the belt from Mitsuboshi. But a totally different -LXX#-E00 could be assigned to something like one of the 250's, 350's and so on.

That means measurements are required. The DT belt, according to De dee in Canada,  is 1004 mm around, 24.5 mm wide with a 28° V-angle. I would love to camp out in a well stocked parts room and FIND one that matches!

Would any of these work?
https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20210821173148&SearchText=belt+for+kymco+downtown+300i

I just did a search for Kymco Downtown 300i belt.

Once I looked up the CVT belt for the AK 500 and those are also very pricey. But the most expensive belt I know of so far is the one for my Burgman 650 CVT. Makes all these prices look like pennies on the dollar at $484 or more.

Having owned a Burgman 400 and reading their forum - I was left with the impression that most 650 owners sold their scooter if the CVT quit.??

I don't understand what you're saying, is Leesons no longer a working supplier of Kymco parts?
I see the belt listed there.....but you're saying it really isn't available?
We need to keep good records on where we can order parts from if our dealer is no help.
At this time I list Solano and Leesons as viable parts suppliers.

Solano cycle is showing it on their parts diagram for 129.50  Now if they have it in stock?

Don't know if they are in or out. Just that their email doesn't work, the link is inoperative...

Many bad reports on china belts. But I am getting closer to trying one!

At $464/belt may be why they last so long!
