Average life of a 125cc scooter

So there has been a thought racking my brain since I hit 4000k. What is the average lifespan of a scooter if it is maintained according to the Service manual? I know Chinese brands don't last long but what about foreign brands like kymco or Vespa?

That's only around 2485 miles . While I don't own a the 125cc I do own a People 250 that has 65,000km or 40389 miles on it and it still runs.

While the Agility is built in China keep in mind it's built to Kymco's  spec's. Cheap Chinese scooters use lower grade components and doing so can sell at a lower price.  Some Vesta/Piaggo are built in  Vietnam.  You can tell where it's built by the first two numbers on the VIN numbers.

I put 33,400 miles on a Kymco Super 8 150 before selling it to a friend.  He is still riding it but I don't know how many miles are on it now.

Have to agree with Stig keeping it maintained is the key  to longevity . A. Lot of scooters have a premature death from neglect.

All said already, well kept, it will last forever.
Main components are CVT in general, starter motor, some relais and at liquid cooled models, water pump and hosing. Those few bearings and oilseals wich are to be renewed once in a while....
Here in Italy you see scoots with way over 50 k on the clock. My two LIKES are at 51k now at good for another 20k. My Grand Dink 150 has 35k right now and I do not see that much of tear and wear on mechanical components.

When I was living down South I ran Chinesium bangers for a good few years.

You can expect about 50,000KM if you own it from new and maintain it properly. No reason it couldn't do more.

The donkeys I had tended to fail around 30,000KM - these were poorly maintained until I owned them and it could have been avoided.
