@lahawk, how right you are!
Few month ago when I got my "abused" Grand Dink", it took me a hour to get the front part cleared to check on relais, etc. Now I can disassamble it in appr. five minutes, knowing where to pull and where to tweak.
Changed running lights against LED, much brighter and less consumption.
@mrmike, just keep on tinkering. If we would not try to improve our rides and find out the best middle for us, we would still be in automotive cave age.

     Would you have a recommendation for a led bulb (H4) to replace my stock headlights with. They're so many options out there. Any suggestions?

@mrmike, there are plenty of LED H4 lamps out there. And a lot of pro and contra.
I ordered and installed (pls see pics) in my LIKE 200i.
Took the red one because the scoot was red.

But now to techs:
-light is brighter than with the OEM bulb (had 55/60W)
-consumes about 30 W
-fits plug and play
-reaches further than OEM

BUT, don't know exactely your headlight setup..
- at my LIKE the light shone too much up and was not to be adjusted with regulation screws
- had to put some small washers between headlight assambly and front mounting to have the light cone where it should be.
-the whole lamp, even cooled by a fan, gets pretty warm and has to be distant from your headlight lens, because its made from plastic and will deform if touched by the lamp.

Led bulb is a little bit (1,5cm) longer than a halogen lamp.

@Stig yes, OEM is 35/35W in LIKES. Predisessor might have changed it.

    Just got my 23x18 16gram sliders. I'll install them along with a iridium spark plug, and brighter LED headlights over the winter. It will probably take that long to get the tupperware apart for the headlights and spark plug.

         LED headlights are in with great results. Will probably be installing new Iridium spark plug and Dr. Pulley 16gr sliders soon. Should I buy a variator tool for installation of sliders, or will tightening with impact be adequate?

if you want to torque the nut down with a torque wrench you'll need some type of variator holding tool. If not, your impact wrench should make easy work of it.
