I'm going to have to get me one of those nice little tachs so I can see what's going on with these different roller weights.

Oops....just added another thing to the 'need to buy list'.

Once I settle on the weight I'll definitely look into them.  Seems to be no contest that they work best.

I hear that they can be a challenge to install though.

You have any experience with using them on your scoot?

not yet But I have road scoots that have theam in it and you can tell the dif . the take off is a little smoother but yet fast and the top end gets you there faster.

Sounds like I should pick up a set.

Starting to get a better feel for the 5 gm rollers - liking how easy it makes getting up to speed on hills, but I can't help but wonder how 5.5 gm rollers would work.

Guess there's only one way to find out!

Yes, after a couple of weeks of testing, I've settled on 5 gm weights.  Decided to go with the Dr. Pulley sliders at 5 gm.

Makes a huge difference for me off the line.  Wish I had a tach to see what was going on - but it certainly sounds like I'm getting lots more revs right off the bat and going up hills is much easier.

Wow, that's awesome. Glad to hear it. That extra power going up hills is also a plus!!

I had a line on a cheaper tach that had great reviews, but I lost all my bookmarks...sorry. :(

Great, if you get one before I do let me know how you like it and I will do the same. :)

It's the Trail Tech TTO Tach/Hour Meter.

Sold at a bunch of places including Amazon.

Here is the link to the manufacturer's site:  http://trailtech.net/tto_tach-hour.html

I do like the sliders over roller weights.

They seem smoother to me, but I can't really be sure if they add any extra top end until I rejet to a bigger main jet.

As I've said, the sliders really don't cost any more that the better quality rollers so I think they're a good deal.

We'll see about the longevity part with time I guess.
