Anyone Ride the Like150?
« on: November 06, 2021, 04:09:11 PM »
I'm considering it, but rom the pictures, it looks small. I'm 5'11" 220.

Absolutely need to sit on one before purchasing.
What you think is a good fit may not be anything like what we consider to be a good fit. ......especially when you consider that you're 5+ inches taller than the Asian it was designed for.

At 5ft 8in I have slightly over one inch of knee clearance when sitting mid seat.
My friend, who is 6ft 4in, sat near the back of the seat for minimal knee clearance.
Take the Major's advice and sit on one.  It's a great scooter for reasonably smooth surfaces

Hey, I resemble that remark!  :D (5'6" with a short (for even my height) inseam)

You're correct that you must sit on these scoots..my People S200 is actually huge on me. I feel like I'm sitting 6 feet off the ground and it's a stretch to 1 foot it at stop light. Plenty of knee room, too. (my Ninja and Helix both have significantly lower seat heights than my Kymco) I recall sitting on a Honda Metropolitan in a showroom and thinking there's no way I could ride this as my knees were almost touching the plastics. It felt tiny.

So definitely sit on it if you can prior to purchase.

I'm 6-2, 34" inseam and around 185 pounds.  I have done up to 300 mile days on my Like 150i but it is a tight fit and I have to move my knees to not hit the bars on tight turns.  Most Asian scooters are a tight fit for me but I have gotten used to that.

off topic..but on the subject of knee room...I'm flying for work today to Nashville and I always smile on planes when looking at the seat size that they are designed for people my size...I never have leg room issues on planes due to short legs and inseam. I always feel sorry for the big guys who have to pry themselves in and out of those seats (that seem to get smaller all the time).

We're hijacking this thread - but dear all that is .......I hate flying!
2.5 hours from Ohio to Tampa is all I can do. My family knows to stay away from me after we deplane. "You ladies get our luggage - I'm going out to rage at the palm trees for 1/2 an hour, then we'll meet at the National lot."
I once rode a Grey Hound from Los Angeles to Dayton, Ohio.
I couldn't speak English for 3 days afterwards.

I swear to goodness if my wife made me travel to Seattle to visit her sister one more time.....I'd hitch hike.
I crossed the USA from Boston to SoCal 3 times by my thumb when I was a teen. I much prefer that mode of long distance travel :)

Like 150 on today's "Let's Make A Deal!" The guy dressed as Popeye the Sailor Man fell out on the floor when he saw his prize was a SCOOTER!
