Welcome here! I like the Black. But I like my Blue better  ;D
I see you are somewhere in the USA as indicated by the 87 octane choice on the gas pump. That octane really is not a common option anywhere else but in the USA.
If you read your owner manual I'm sure you saw the spec page that showed to use 95 octane or better. But even though the manual is intended for USA models some measures are still in European units and even at that it is wrong per the sticker in the under seat storage box. Euro Octane numbers are referred to as RON (Research Octane Number), USA octane is PON (Pump Octane Number) and uses a formula that makes 95 RON = 91 PON. But the under seat storage box sticker clearly states to use 87 octane or better. So that's what I always use.

I've posted a few threads in the General sub forum and Technical sub forum on my experiences with my 2022 AK 550.

Hello RSJ,

Thanks for the welcome. I'm in Tampa FL. I read your post about your new ownership experience so far. Well written. By any chance, have you come across a good cellphone mount option for your bike? I know Kymco makes/made a piece for that purpose, but I can't seem to locate one or any other good solution.

Hello RJS,

I've been thinking I may possibly be able to use the Noodoe navigation option so will likely not need to mount my cell phone as I have on other bikes for that purpose. Navigation is the ONLY reason I would put a phone in a mount on the dash. But other riders are... well... other riders. Everyone is different so here are some ideas I was looking at should I decide to mount my phone on my AK 550.

This is just one of many of the same item available for the bracket that installed on the AK. This one is from AliExpress.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001255386412.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.1764497fq3oxdU&algo_pvid=b51fe7bf-e9a9-486e-b628-8aafc083f136&algo_exp_id=b51fe7bf-e9a9-486e-b628-8aafc083f136-5&pdp_ext_f=%7B%22sku_id%22%3A%2212000016441029704%22%7D

Shop around and you'll find this item for many different prices.

For the phone holder I am leaning to this RAM Quick-Grip XL holder from Amazon.

There is also one for smaller phones. This one is for my Pixel 4 or my potential new Pixel 6 phone. I have a modified x-grip holder that I bought from AliExpress that is similar to the RAM version but has an extra pair of arms that keep the phone positioned better and off the buttons. This Quick-Grip holder is better IMO (as well as in the opinion of others I've spoken to who have it).

Don't laugh too much. I was initially stationed in Jacksonville, a bit north of Tampa, and during one midnight watch on the air field it started snowing.
OK, only for 5 minutes and very VERY light small snowflakes. But it was cold enough.

Don't I know! Had a bost once we took the Tombigbee to the gulf and turned left to Pensacola. Could not get off that boat because the freezing sleet and rain had frozen all the doors shut!
Helicopters, big fans and smoke pots to keep the oranges from freezing!

Not here, but I lived in Miami in '78 when it snowed there. I was absolutely bewildered.
