Thank you guys for your replies. When I replaced the belt, I left the old rollers (measured with a caliper they were still fine). I am almost sure the cause of the lack of acceleration was due to the OEM belt, it was basically the only thing I touched. It would be for sure a great idea to put on a new Kymco belt now. But the bando belt should be still good, I do few miles per year so 45 dollars for a new belt could be wasted money for me, but I'll think about it. I think the cause is the belt also because with mileage it's improving gradually. Probably with wear it works better. I'll keep this posted.

P.S.: does anyone remember the right direction of the rollers? It's the thin side towards clockwise looking all of them from upwards? Thank you :-)

From the manual:
• The direction of all weight rolls is same.
The color side is towards to clockwise.

From the interwebs seems the same as well.

And sliders (my preference)

As promised I report the results of the job. I installed a new Kymco genuine belt with new kymco 13g rollers. Scooter is like new, awesome acceleration, no noises no vibrations. The Bando belt I put years ago was the problem.

exactly  :) . I still have the little doubt that with the old Bando belt I put one or two rollers in the wrong direction but it would be difficult, so at 99% the belt was the problem. Thank you  :)

Hello,

I have a Kymco People Gt 300i and i had a strange experience whit malossi 20x14 14 g, rolers code: 66 9919.L0 .

I changed today my rollers from original 14g to malossi 20x14 14g rollers, the problem is that with the new rollers it's hard to pass 100km/h, until 80 km/h it has a very good acceleration and after that the scooter is losing power, i can hear the engine revving but it feels like the power is not sent to the wheel, it's hard to pass 100km/h.

I swaped back to original 14g and now the acceleration its good from 0 to 120 and its tops around 150km/h on flat road.

Did you have "strange" experience whit mallosi rolers? Do the rollers need time to "set in"?

@lonutRS, welcome here.
Changing just rollers against MALOSSI products with the same weight is therefore not successful because a MALOSSI CVT has different dimensions than your OEM stuff (bigger diameter). Did alot of testing there.

In theory they sayd that the malossi rollers should work whit original variator but its clearly they don't.

I was thinking that my belt its a bit worn out, even if i can't see that whit the naked eye, and whit the new rollers the variator pushes the belt on top and slips, its clearly that over 80 the belt starts sliping , it is possible?

Im tryng to find a logical explanation  :) seen that the new rollers are the same in dimensions whit the originals.

Im courios if anyone instaled malosi 20x12 14g on original variator.

Hmmmh, CVTs are simple but sophisticated transmissions, where several components compliment or fight each other.
As you say, theoretically should work....

Not to tell from distance.
Your counterspring behind your clutch is a factor too, that's why MALOSSI delivers new CVTs with a set of them.

Yes, a worn out (too small) belt cannot transfer performance.
A new belt, BANDO or MITSUBOSHI might be a good idea.
It's an interesting field, there are zillions of videos around.

If you do have some money left over, try Dr.PULLEYs or TechPülley squares/gliders.
BANDO rollers are fine too and last.

A very important step IMO is to polish the CVTs  inner ramps. NO lube at all there.
