metel tag on key

Hello everyone,

I have a question that I dont know if anybody knows. When I purchaced my agility used it came with a metel tag on the key. Does anybody know what this tab is for? there is some letttering on it that reads C206 and on the bottem it reads CTJ. is this tag refering to the cuts in the key or was it used as inventory control for the dealership.

A lot of vehicles come with that tag and also almost all my bikes when I bought them new. That's the key code tag and the letters/numbers are the actual key code for if you need to get a new key from the dealer.

That is what I figured, Just curious when new from the factory do most bikes come with two keys or jsut one?

Two, always. But not always performing the same functions....but both will start the scooter.

funny..this just reminded me that my scoot came with 2 factory keys plus the metal tag with code. Strange thing is only 1 of the keys works. Held side by side they look absolutely identical..but only 1 key works. The other key will enter the ignition switch but no matter how much I move or wiggle it, it won't turn the ignition.
