450i Half Shaft P/N
« on: February 27, 2022, 07:04:05 PM »
I was out scraping off ice this morning from the storm over the weekend and the front right CV joint blew apart at the front right wheels pieces are sticking out of the boot. Does anyone know the P/N or compatible replacement for the front right half shaft? I can’t seem to locate it. The unit is 2018 UXV 450i Hunter.

Also does anyone know if you can replaced the whole front right wheel hub assembly? I’d rather not mess with a pressed bearing.

Thanks!

Just looked up my Kymco parts locator and it has been removed!! I have used this for years to get part numbers as it was a direct factiry part listing.  Not sure what is going on here, covid issues or the potential China invasion into Tiawan or ?????  The web site is no longer availiable......You might try looking up "Leesons ArticCat" as they are (were) an authorized Kymco dealer and are great folks to do business with. Wish I could be of more help....

RF Half Shaft Complete: 44200-ALE8-M00   (about 220.00)
Front Hub: 4470A-LEE8-900 (about 90.00) Doesn't look to be bearings as the splines spline into the hub from the half shaft

Interesting...that was where I looked but no parts listings, only advertising for new models.

You can only access the Parts Fiche area unless you are a dealer

Many Kymco/Polaris/Kawasakis ATVs are the same machines, simply re-bodied and re-badged to suit.  I find Kymco parts (same diagrams, by the way) on Kawasaki parts sites.  Kawasaki is slower and more expensive, but more reliable. Sometimes it's better to retreat to any old port in a storm!

Went back to do some additional searching and found the parts fich. Have to negotiate a lot of doors to locate the site.  Have been using that site for years, but now they are making it quite difficult to find. Have had it marked in my favorites for years, but that no longer allows acess.  Thanks for your help!!

Unless you are a dealer you should not be in the dealer portion of the KUS website.

Kymco does not build for Polaris.
For kaw, Kymco builds the KFX50 & 90 and the Brute Force 300 only
Kymco builds most Arctic Cat ATV below 500cc and the 550 SxS
Kymco is also building a few models for Tracker ATV sold through Bass Pro Shops

Thanks everyone. I reached out to my local dealer who was I formed by Kymco that the part was back ordered indefinitely. Does anyone have an aftermarket part that would be compatible? Kawasaki? Polaris?

I’m open to anything at this point, the unit is worthless as is.

Thanks!

The Kymco UXV 450 should be the same as the Arctic Cat Prowler 500. I found this through Partzilla.
I can't guarantee it will be correct but the AC Prowler 500 is basically a Kymco 450 below the cage and plastics.

Have used that site for years to get part numbers as a reference.  Cant order off that site, but it gets me the factory part numbers so I can order thru a dealer...you would be surprised at how many dealers dont want to take the time to look up a part number!!!

I may have got the last shaft in the country last year, came rather quickly, but the ball joints didn't, ended up with aftermarket ball joints
