A look at a 1yr old Angel and Colby tire valve

Was out in the garage checking that Colby tire valve stem - which is installed without removing the tire or breaking the tire bead.
They also sell an "emergency" tire valve stem which can be installed without tools on the roadside.

I used the brass shorty, which installs with a 1/2" wrench.
I put this in last June . After re-installing my rear wheel I learned that my tire installer had torn the new valve stem when fitting my Pirelli Angels.*
Anyway - It is holding air just fine, and I won't be changing it until I put new tires on again. And because it is short and stiff - I find it easier to deal with than a longer or right angled valve.



This 14" Pirelli Angel has been on since June, 2021 - and has @1,700 miles on it**. The front 16" of course shows even less wear.

* I still get PO'd when I see the scratches that young tire installer at my local multi-brand dealer did to my rim. He tore the valve stem, and marred the rim.

Thanks for the updates, tire looks great. Yeah, guys mounting tires tend to be a little rough…wait til they pop off your old wheel weights with an old screwdriver! (Or maybe that is only with car wheels)

In US doing own tire works best-  Scooter rears I always change to Honda short high speed stem, first time when I have tire off rim----makes it easier to check pressure and get air hose in.

So here's the rear after 18m and about 4,000 miles Stig.  Still can't believe how much better these CGs are than the OEM Kenda's!

PS  Don't you just want to get under there with a rag, your old toothbrush and some ACF50?  ;D

You know, it hasn't gotten so bad that I want to clean other people's rides, .. We'll come to think of it I did enjoy cleaning my son's Honda 500X when he'd leave it with me. I enjoyed looking at the craftsmanship while I was down there.....
