used bike new pistons

hello my name is Lamont I am new to the site I just purchased a used z x 50 from a authorized kymco dealer I was told that the bike had seized on the previous owner and they rote it to him he gas replaced the pistons and rebuilt the engine my question is does this mean i basically have a new engine that needs break in ect and what is the life expectancy on a well maintained z x 5 0

hey lamont....WELCOME to the forum.....alot of good info here, has been a bit slow lately tho. :D... yes, you need to have some kind of breakin period..i did wait almost 2 tanks of gas, before just going all out... ;D  you have a new top end, not a bottom tho..any other mods to your zx? need to.. :D ;)

hey thanks for the info the only thing i have had done is it de restricted i think because its a two stroke it will be faster than a four stroke anyway right i hope so i look forward to doing some mods wish me luck
