Like 150i or Super 8 150?
« on: May 31, 2022, 01:51:44 PM »
Just what the title says.
The like 150i is about 20lbs heavier fully fueled but claims to make 3more HP and the same torque as well as getting about 20mpg higher.
The Super 8 150 is 10ish HP and the same torque, but is carbureted so has the potential to be modded a lot easier for more power.

Which would y'all pick assuming they're both brand new and the same price?

Just my opinion, but I've always liked the look of the Super 8

Yeah, if you're already thinking about modding the scooter - the carbed Super 8 is your choice.
Nothing you can do to improve the excellent fuel injected engine set-up of the LIKE.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

I love my 1501.  Starts easily (fuel injection) and runs flawlessly.  65 mph on the level (but it takes a while to get there) and I just got 97 mpg on a 100 mile trip traveling at 35-45 mph.
