Okay, so I went under the seat storage to see about a screw that limits my throttle pull, buuut the dealer had already removed that.
I pulled the airbox and all its hoses apart and found a restrictor in there and removed that, but I don't think it did much.
Took the CVT cover off (gasket suddenly got way too big to fit back on so until I can get a new one, I'm running without. If that's a big issue I'll put a new one on sooner, but I don't think it's that big an issue personally).
Before I could even figure out how to take the variator nut off I saw there was no washer restricting that at all.
It seems like this particular Kymco really is just limited by the ECU/CDI module (see pics attached).
My dealer said they don't deal with any of that stuff and that I'm on my own. I'm not expecting massive gains; maybe like 5mph more, 10 at the absolute max.
I'm willing to buy aftermarket ECU and CDI modules and test them, but I'm very hesitant to cut any wires that I wouldn't as easily be able to replace.
Anybody have any ideas? Suggestions? My indicated speed always sits around 26-28 mph on the speedo. I'm aware it's not accurate but even so I'm fairly certain I'm not running a full 30mph.
